Meet Richa Bhargava, Senior Partnership Manager in NSW with over 25 years experience in Australian financial services.

Richa works in the Westpac Commercial Intermediaries NSW team based at the International head office in Barangaroo, Sydney. The key priorities to her role are to ensure she can make things easy and straightforward so brokers are able to understand Westpac processes, in addition to helping them navigate the many different parts of the bank. Richa believes good open communication in an honest transparent way is critical to building deepened trustworthy relationships, and being well prepared when brokers require help in urgent situations.

Why Richa wants to help brokers, “Just like my broker partners, I continue to set big goals to transform my business and deepen relationships because I want my customers to remain relevant and be highly successful to grow more opportunities for their clients. It inspires me to stretch myself even more to help brokers reach their goals. I have strong foundations and a solid track record in the financial services industry, so I draw upon every piece of expertise and insight as I work closely with bankers and brokers to deliver daily for business customers.”

What does success look like?

Our client operates a metal manufacturing Business

The customer applies for an SMSF loan to purchase a commercial property. Reviewing their portfolio the customer would also like to refinance an existing home loan, with additional requirements for equipment finance and a need for a trade specialist with their growing manufacturing business as they export their product overseas.

Our Westpac SME banker organises the appropriate facility by demonstrating the benefits of a full banking relationship with Westpac. This includes involving the appropriate specialists in equipment finance and trade, as well as full use of our suite of transactional products to further support their business activities and payments. The broker submits a refinance request for all the customer’s business loans from their existing financial institution to Westpac. Ongoing, the Westpac banker in discussion with the broker will cover the full needs of their client.
