The Westpac Disaster Relief Package has been invoked to support customers facing financial hardship following Tropical Cyclone Debbie in Queensland and will be available for 3 months until Wednesday, 28 June 2017.

This package offers financial assistance across our product range including debt repayment relief, interest waivers, fee cancellations and term extensions. Any customer that believes they are affected by Tropical Cyclone Debbie should be encouraged to talk to Westpac Assist. Insurance customers can make a claim by calling Westpac General Insurance or by using our online insurance claims service, available also on smartphone and tablets.

  • Affected customers can apply for financial relief on a case-by-case basis by contacting Westpac Assist on 1800 067 497.
  • Advise affected insurance customers that they can make a claim via:
    • Westpac General Insurance on 1300 369 989 for assistance with temporary accommodation and emergency funds. Claims can be lodged 24 Hours, 7 days a week by calling this number; and
    • Westpac’s online claims service via www.westpac.com.au > Insurance > Home and Contents Insurance > I want to > Make a claim.

We ask all accredited Westpac Equipment Finance brokers and Commercial Introducers in Far North Queensland to be across this communication, and ensure you are across Westpac’s Disaster Relief Package for your clients.
